Biography

Hu Xiaoguang, Chief Physician at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, graduated from the Fourth Military Medical University with a master's degree and currently serves as Deputy Director of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Maxillofacial Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. He previously worked for 30 years in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the Stomatological Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University, engaging in maxillofacial surgery and head and neck tumor treatment. He participated in compiling 6 monographs: Diagnosis and Treatment of Oral Emergencies; Maxillofacial Surgery Procedures and Techniques; Essential Techniques for Pediatric Stomatology Diagnosis and Treatment; New Edition of Practical Stomatological Techniques; Clinical Practice Manual for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; and Diagnosis and Treatment of Refractory Oral Diseases. He has published more than 50 papers and introduced 12 new services and new technologies. Academic appointments: Member of the Head and Neck Surgery Group, Rehabilitation and Reconstructive Surgery Professional Committee, Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine; Member of the Head and Neck Tumor Group, Shaanxi Anti-Cancer Association.

Research Directions and Specialties: Mainly engaged in the treatment of oral and head and neck trauma and maxillofacial fractures; maxillofacial deformity reconstruction; plastic and aesthetic surgery (jaw and contour plastic surgery). Comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of maxillofacial trauma, head and neck tumors (including radical resection and repair of various benign and malignant tumors), diseases of the parotid gland, submandibular gland, and sublingual gland; diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases; contour plastic surgery; and surgical repair of various oral and maxillofacial deformities.
